It’s officially summer and festival season is in full swing in Milwaukee. From North to South, East to West, street fests, parish fests and community fests are taking place. While this is not a comprehensive list of things going on this weekend, I am sure there is something your family will enjoy. Happy Friday!

Friday, June 22

11:00 AM – 11:00 PM: Greek Festival at State Fair Park. If you like gyros, souvlaki, baklava, greek music and fun for kids this festival is for you. Held at the Wisconsin State Fair grounds this festival is all weekend long. Parking is $5 and admission is FREE! Hours: Friday, June 22, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m; Saturday, June 23, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. & Sunday, June 24, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

3:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Christ King Parish Festival. Cake walk, live music, 50/50 raffel and fun for the entire family this weekend at the Christ King Parish Festival. Kids fun includes bounce houses, bingo, games, prizes and more. Additional Hours: Saturday 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

4:00 PM – 11:00 PM Fiesta Waukesha. This 3-day cultural festival is held in Frame Park in downtown Waukesha. Enjoy live music, Hispanic entertainment, rides, a children’s area and art fair. Admission is free. Additional Hours: Saturday 11:00 AM – 11 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

5:00 PM – 11:30 PM Pewaukee Kiwanis Beach Party. In it’s 17th year, this beach party features live music, a ski show, shopping, an all you can eat pancake breakfast and more. Bring beach toys, your suits and a towel. Additional Hours: Saturday 10:00 AM – 11:30 PM

5:00 PM – 10:30 PM Holy Apostles Parish Festival in New Berlin. Bake sale, crafts, games, rides and family fun all weekend long! Additional Hours: Saturday 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Sunday 12:15 PM – 6:30 PM

Saturday, June 23

8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tosa’s Farmer’s Market. Enjoy fresh produce, flowers, locally brewed coffee and live music in downtown Wauwatosa. New this year is the Makers Market – featuring the work of local artists.

12:00 PM – 12:00 AM North Avenue Summer Soulstice Music Festival. Enjoy live music and sample food from Milwaukee’s East Side. The 12th Annal East Side Summer Soulstice is taking steps to be more more “family-friendly” with the entertainment stage of Murray Street from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Cedarburg Strawberry Festival. This is one of my favorite festivals of the summer. Located in the heart of charming downtown Cedarburg your family will enjoy fresh picked strawberries in brats, beer, wine, doughnuts, sauces and more. This is a very well attended festival, bosting over 100,000 visitors each year. After your bellies are full, you will enjoy live music, artisan street vendors and kid fun. Admission is free. Additional Hours: Sunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
